IT Internship with SIRO for a person with a disability

IT Team
The IT business applications team are part of the wider IT team.
- We look after the Business Systems which facilitate our customer orders. We do this by using Agile development methodologies. The development is carried out by our external partner.
- We support our SIRO colleagues in all departments by identifying and supporting solutions to help them work more efficiently. This includes the use of MS Teams, power automate, powerflow, smartsheets, sharepoint, ZohoDesk, ZohoCRM.
- We have developed several inhouse systems in Power Automate and power flow which include an office visitor application and employee onboarding application, Health and Safety logging and reporting of risks, audits and assesments amongst others

Environment
The requirement is to be in the office 2 or 3 days a week. This is mostly a desk based job. The office is a modern accessible environment on the ground floor. We hot desk, so you don’t have an assigned seat when you come to the office. During the day we may move between our desks and meeting rooms or individual ‘pods’ when we have calls or meetings. When working remotely we use MS Teams to communicate with each other.
Key Responsibilities/Projects:
- IT business applications support. Supporting MS Teams, SharePoint, Zohodesk and our in-house applications. Answer questions and provide solutions.
- Gather user requirements for new user requirements when requested by our colleagues.
- Using the requirements gathered, investigate and propose solutions with external vendors or internal solutions.
- Microsoft Power apps and power flow development
- Manage the Team inbox, reply to queries or pass them to some
Requirements:
- Student/Graduate in an IT or technology qualification
- Keen interest in technology and IT
- Excellent communication by phone, video, email and in person.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work both in a team and independently
- Organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Analytical and problem solving skills, ability to research a solution
- Proficiency in IT
- Competent with Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint / Office365 app competencies.
